Welcome! So glad you are here.
Hi there-and welcome!
I hope *you* are here because of something, somewhere, that piqued your interest, or spoke to you in some way. I hope that you find something that resonates, that offers validation, or comfort, or a laugh.
This is a new site, a re-boot, and you will see some of my old posts re-posted here. This blog is where I share my thoughts, experiences, musings, answer questions, pontificate on things about mental health, mindfulness, trauma, and whatever else might come up.
Here are a few things that are not in my bio:
I have a love-hate relationship with mindfulness practices, things like yoga and meditation. They can be very grounding, and transformative; also, they can be very activating for me. Sometimes practice them a lot, sometimes I avoid them as much as I can. I am trained in teaching both, and love doing so.
I love movies. All kinds of movies, but mostly independent and artsy films, the more quirky, the better. I also like mainstream comedies, and some dramas. I don’t like anything with any kind of violence, even action/adventure and martial arts! I’m super sensitive to violence. (Yet, Goodfellas is one of my top favorites of all time. Go figure.)
It was later in my life that I developed a love for nature. I grew up in the suburbs of three major American cities, and never really got into being in nature until my late 30’s/early 40’s. Now, it’s one of my reset buttons. People who knew me when I was younger are surprised to hear this.
I have an innate ability to match color tone perfectly. That means if I see color tones that match, they stand out to me. I don’t always say it out loud-but I always notice it.
What is it that brought you here? And what is quirky about you, unique?
Please comment below, or contact me and let me know. I’d love to hear from you.
Stay tuned! More soon.
